D developed a passion for outdoor education and learning while at Brevard College, where they received a Bachelors's in Fine Art. D began their career in education as a field instructor at Momentum. After becoming a Lead Staff they were able to collaborate with other educators on campus to build an outlet for their passion to educate and learn. This passion led to them becoming the Social Emotional Learning course educator. In this role, D continues to enjoy teaching and developing tools for understanding advocacy, social-emotional awareness, and varied learning styles alongside the student population.

In their free time, they enjoy making music. Some of their favorite music hobbies included playing drums, guitar, or keyboard in a band and singing or rapping with friends.
