Each day includes a mix of holistic therapies, wellness activities for both mind and body, optional nature-based activities, self-care time, social-emotional learning, and independent life skills practice.
This combination focuses on active healing in real-life situations, building life skills, and establishing healthy habits that carry over into the student's life post-program.
We offer an alternative to traditional residential treatment programs with a focus on holistic wellness.
Our students participate in individual, group, and family therapy, attend classes for college credit, and develop independent living skills. You may engage in a therapy session while fishing off the dock, canoeing on the lake, or around a campfire.
Our therapeutic approach is centered on building healthy relationships with self, others, technology, and school. We use a relational-based model founded on attachment theory, incorporating a strengths-based perspective, trauma-informed care, resilience development, and community engagement.

An individual treatment plan is a collaborative, structured, and attainable plan developed by you and your therapist to move you toward your goals!
In collaboration with your therapist, you will work together to create an individualized treatment plan designed to address your mental health and wellness concerns as well as your short and long-term goals.
You will spend your first few therapy sessions determining what this looks like, and your therapist and treatment team will support you in the ways you’ve identified as needed.
You and your therapist will revisit this plan often, allowing you to reflect on your progress and adjust and refine your goals.

Group therapy sessions are also held twice per week, with nightly sessions around the campfire, providing ample opportunities for personalized and peer support.

Our program is designed for young adults ages 18-25 who are seeking support and healing with challenges related to:
- navigating neurodiversity in a neurotypical world,
- mental health conditions (such as anxiety, depression, technological dependence, and other issues),
- and developing independent living skills.
We do so by helping students transition to independence, increase self-confidence, and find a new path toward a healthy life.
If you (or your young adult child) are looking for a structured, therapeutic environment with comprehensive support, Momentum may be a great fit.
We offer initial assessments to help determine if our program aligns with your needs and goals.

As an adult, you are able to leave the program at any time. However, considering it is usually a family-supported decision to enroll in the program, it is often best to come to a family decision to leave the program.
Throughout any big decision-making process, we will offer students perspective, guidance, and coaching.
Ultimately, it is your decision.
